POWER OF ATTORNEY

General Information:
  • According to the regulation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Royal Thai Consulate is not authorized to legalize the signature of a foreigner directly.
  • Prior to sending a power of attorney document to the Consulate, it should be;
    • first certified by the notary public and
    • secondly legalized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia

Documents Required:

  1. A completed Application for Legalization which can be downloaded from the Consulate’s website. Power of Attorney Form - POA FORM
  2. Original power attorney document bearing the Seal and signature of DFAT officer.
  3. A copy of the original document – every page
  4. A copy of your passport or driver’s license

Processing fee:

  • $25 per document
  • Payable in cash, money order or Cheques made payable to “the Royal Thai Consulate Brisbane”

Processing Time: 2 Business days

LETTER OF CONSENT

General Information:

  • A letter of Consent is a formal document giving from the absentee mother/father authorizing the issuance of passport Minor
  • The Applicant need to apply in person

Documents Required:

  1. Applicant’s Passport or ID card
  2. Child Thai birth Certificate
  3. Letter of Consent Form (unsigned) - LOC FORM

Processing fee:

  • $25 per document,
  • Payable in cash, money order or Cheques made payable to “the Royal Thai Consulate Brisbane”

DOCUMENT CERTIFICATION

According to the regulation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Royal Thai Consulate is authorised to legalise documents bearing the seal of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia only.

Processing fee: $25 per document

The Royal Thai Consulate Brisbane cannot lodge in the Thai Police Clearance application on the applicant’s behalf. The applicant must apply in person at Clearance Service Center, Special Branch, Royal Thai Police (in Thailand) or Post to Police Clearance Service Center, Special Branch, Royal Thai Police
